What´s your favourite Morrocan food?
Any specialties we have never heard of and you wanna share?
certainly, i loved the couscous down there, there is a lot of choice for vegetarians because they use a lot of veggies.
Was invited to dinner by a Berber family, they offered us homemade bread with honey and olive oil before dinner. So very easy and more than delicious.
of course I have to mention the mint tea again, how can you not like a culture that celebrates tea that much?
Love the Berber shoes a lot in all their color variety.
The henna art they do is simply amazing...

Sat, April 23, 2005 - 1:10 PMDon't know if you ever made this night happen, but I'll be in the SF Bay area for a couple of weeks in early May.
That, and I'm a chef.
That, and my father is from Morocco.
Lamb and quince stew is one of my favorites. And individual B'steeya are amongst the best pastries to make in a group setting.
First week in May, perhaps?

Re: Morrocan Food thoughts
Tue, March 22, 2005 - 10:57 AMits strange, i was there for almost 2 months, almost every day i either ate cous cous or a tajin. i never saw much variety in the local cheap eats, but i never got bored of these either.
i really miss the pears where you could just pull the stem/with seeds, out by hand, these pears were so tender that if you droped one, it was ruined, it basically would colapse on impact. -
