Re: Eid ul-Adha & New Year in the Same Day
Wed, December 27, 2006 - 8:12 PMFirst I must state that I am very distressed that the United States and Britain have continued to practice bigotry and insolence with their destructive practices concerning other religions and cultures. The right wing demigods ruling this country should be tried for high crimes and treason.
Second I want to express my gratitude to the Internet for making it possible to communicate with our sisters and brothers across the world thereby uniting the true spirit of love and acceptance. Blessings to our moderator Samir for being so warm and trusting.
Third, I dance for peace and the healing of this wonderful planet we live on..our spaceship. She is not doing too good right now. Global warming is real. I am a scientist and spent 4+ years studying her flora and fauna at Utah State University. We have to become consciously aware of how everything we do affects this planet. On New Years I light a candle carrying a little prayer and float it down the Colorado River. It is so beautiful to watch. This year I will wish for all my friends lots of love and tons of laughter! -

Re: Eid ul-Adha & New Year in the Same Day
Mon, January 1, 2007 - 5:01 PMThank you Samir for explaing what Eid ul-Adha is, I saw it listed on my calendar but did not know it's significance.
I really appreciate Tribe for bringing me closer to my brothers and sisters across the globe. I think that the more we can unite the world, the better we can make it. I pray for peace, understanding and compassion for all. I have so many blessings to be thankful for that I could not list them all, but I hope that the light from my life may reach out and shine into the lives of those around me.
Blessings to all of you in the coming year, may it be full of happiness and joy!
