DON'T FORGET THE TODRA GORGE!!

there are a handful of guesthouses at the mouth of a beautiful beautiful river gorge. 2 very tall cliffsides face each other, a thousand feet tall and maybe 50 feet apart at the south end.

it's the most peaceful place I've visited in Morrocco. I stayed at Chez Said (run by you guessed it, Sa-id) the people there were so friendly and every night we banged on drums and danced and shared food. There was an older man named Mohammed who spoke the best english and he showed me around their gardens where they grew all their own food.

It's about an hour taxi ride up from Tinehir up a winding mountain road. You pass a lot of date farms on the way and can see casbahs? in the distance carved in the hillside.

I miss this place the most of all.
